Our Design Process
To design or not to design?
Why pay thousands for a landscape design if it's not required?
Can we build your dream garden without having to pay for expensive designs? Absolutely we can, you may have your own designs, sketches and photos that you want to be laid down on paper without the costs of a formal design, obviously we need to agree on a plan to ensure you will be happy when it comes to construction time; in these circumstances we create a 'mud map' for your approval. In cases such as larger projects and obviously designs that require building approval we would recommend a scaled design. You may not require a full garden makeover, maybe you just require some paving, decking, rendered walls or some soft landscaping such as plants or turf, in this case a detailed quotation can be written up after our first visit.
Steps to a perfect aspect
Aspect is defined as 'appearance to the eye, especially from a specific vantage point'. Determining your perfect aspect requires a brief on-site visit to discuss your ideas, to come up with some ourselves and to determine your likes and dislikes, and to step through our comprehensive plant catalogue, after all you are making an investment into your future view! Usually this first visit is free of charge and enables us to provide a quotation and maybe a mud map, your garden could then be built at this point if so required.
For those who would like computer designs and even a 3D walkthrough of your future garden you can opt for a comprehensive computer design package, these vary in price from complimentary to around a thousand dollars, depending on the scale or complexity of the project, after all perfect designs can take a while to lay down on computer etc. When the design is completed we will meet with you to go over the plans, you can then decide on any changes that you would like to make and sign off on the design, we can then schedule construction. Further changes will be dealt with by a variation process ensuring that none of your changes are missed.
Construction will be scheduled and managed by a qualified Project Manager, ensuring that delays are kept to a minimum. Once construction is near completion we will supply a handover pack that details any plant care and hard landscaping advice to keep your investment looking great for years to come.
